Shiva Pillai

Principal Consultant
The changes and uncertainty brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic upset the order of many people’s lives. But the truth is every situation in life gives us a purpose to survive and an opportunity to excel. L&D is the brainchild of Mr. Shiva Pillai, a Mathematics graduate and MBA from University of Madras, with two decades of experience in Intelligent light and sound. He was awarded the Lighting designer of the year in 2006 and the best Principal Consultant at WBTDC for sustained glitch free project ideation, visualization, and execution. It was his vision and the team’s support, which initiated the onset of an AR VR company, 2 years prior to the lockdown.

Bart Hemelaer

International Principal Consultant
Bart Hemelaer started off in 1993 as a lighting designer in Belgium, providing design and execution of many pubs, discotheques and Music festivals. He was hired by Martin Professional lighting and posted in India as CTO to reorganize the technical operations for them at the age of 25. He was solely responsible for the Channel V music awards and many projects of repute across the globe. Today Bart is the International Principal consultant for L&D implementing new techniques, company segments and divisions.

Ravi Kumar R

CEO

Ravi started his career with a passion for events. He worked in the production and technical division with one of the oldest event management company from South India. He headed events and sports for Sahara group of companies, India & International as well. He handled IPL, Hockey India League, Badminton League and Share Force India. He is a consultant in the industry of entertainment, sports, VR & AR, sound and light handling projects across the globe. With more than 25 years of industry experience, Ravi is currently the CEO of L&D.

Purnima Nayanar

Creative Head

Purnima Nayanar, is a fashion designer from NIFT, Bangalore, with an absolute creative slant and love for design space ever since her graduation. In this ever-evolving virtual world of design, her journey began as a Fashion designer in the vibrant garment industry at first and then as a Graphics designer, before helping to set up and develop the business of complex lighting specific designs at CGI. Her repertoire of visuals specifics and extended reality include and is not limited to complex animations, 3D working model and graphic rendering. She heads the creative department of L&D.

Yugander RJ

Chief Design Consultant

Yugander RJ, Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Communication, started his career in photography, movie editing and cinematography, at quite a young age. His keenness was recognized by a Singapore channel News Asia, where he worked as the Creative Designer and Editor. He specializes in 3Ds Max, Maya, Substance Painter, Autodesk CAD, Revit, Avid, F.C.P and Adobe collections. “As technology becomes more and more accessible, AR VR is the next step to many businesses”, says designer Yugander RJ. He is currently the Chief Design Consultant of L&D.

Rishab B

Junior Trainee

Rishab B, pursuing B.E Computer Science from Chennai Institute of technology and B.S Data Science and Programming from IIT Madras. His passion knows no bounds when it comes to technology. Rishab was awarded 2nd prize in science expo and quiz among 1000 students, conducted by Periyar Science and Technology Centre. Ever so enthusiastic, he bagged the titles of best Innovative tech talk, case study and demo in his College Science Expo. He even hosted a Bootcamp for freshers and was a part of the organizing team for TEDXWomen. L&D promotes young techies like Rishab who aim to make a difference!
